Project Background

One of the leading generators of revenue at hotels are meetings and events.  In an ever growing market Marriott's luxury brands were looking to further differentiate themselves and upskill their meetings and events and sales teams in planning and delivering exceptional meetings in events for the luxury guest or client.  This project added to a set of foundational courses for line level meetings and events associates.  The new courses provided additional leadership, planning, and strategy training for meetings and events managers built around a set of newly establish luxury and meetings and events design principles and guidelines.  Designed for five of Marriott's luxury brands, each brand would have custom courses that developed associates' skills in delivering meetings and events that aligned with the tier and individual brand positioning and service approach.  The Lux M+E program delivers 6 hours on online training including videos, eLearning modules, and job aids such as catering and menu templates that associates can download and immediately.
